In 2007 I wrote about the No Anorexia Nolita campaign.
The woman who modeled for the campaign was named Isabelle Caro and she died less than two months ago from the disease. I’ve just read that her mother has recently committed suicide because of the guilt she felt for putting her daughter in the hospital.
This is very sad on both counts and emphasises the argument that fashion, magazines and advertising should quit pushing the stick thin image and instead, promote healthy living.
