Laughter IS the best medicine

I will get my blog back on some sort of focus sometime soon (maybe – that’s not a promise), however I came across a blog/website today that I used to have on my rss feed, that I haven’t seen in over a year. I don’t know why I dont’ read it anylonger, but it made me almost laugh to the point of tears.

It’s called Overheard in New York and the premis is that people hear silly/stupid/insane/crazy but strangly normal, every day conversations, then send them in for our reading pleasure at how absurd they really are.

Absurdity, btw, was one of the best topics of my Intro Philosophy class…

OHINY
example below, definitly check it out if this one isn’t your cup of tea. You will be on the floor by some point:

In Unrelated News, Aren’t You Glad We’re Ditching Bio Again?
Middle school kid #1: Why do they call it “PMS”?
Middle school kid #2: I dunno.
Middle school kid #1: Because “Mad Cow Disease” was taken.
(hilarious laughter ensues)
Middle school kid #2: That’s so funny. (pause) What’s “PMS”?
Middle school kid #1: I think it’s “Post Mental Syndrome” You know, when you dry up and can’t have babies.
