In my opinion, more mines have been collapsing in the recent times than in the more distant past; or it could just be the argument that we are more connected with the news via internet et al.
Regardless, 3 rescuers died trying to save people in a(nother) collapsed mine. Talk about bad luck. The oxymoron of it all got me I suppose. Three people going in to hopefully save peoples lives, but losing theirs in the process.
